Kris Commons waxes lyrical on crowd chants, his partnership with Arron Davies and the joys of playing with Andy Reid.

‘I definitely I hear the fans singing my name. It’s great to hear. A lot of the time you try to block crowds out a bit, because not everyone is saying nice stuff about you. It can sometimes be a bit abusive. But when you hear the fans chanting your name it’s an amazing feeling. I’m a Forest fan and it’s very special for me.

‘It is good with Arron on one wing and me on the other, because it gives us width. But, to be fair Arron is very versatile. He can play on either flank, or step inside and play in the pockets. It’s all down to what the gaffer thinks is the best system for any particular game.

‘It’s good we can switch because that can confuse a defence. You have some defender who’s been preparing to face me all week and then he finds Arron coming at him. The boss is really good at giving us the freedom to do that when we have the ball, so long as we put in a good shift when we don’t have the ball.’
