Dimi, as he will be known from now on has made 23 starts for the Sky Blues this season, but has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Manchester City’s Kasper Schmeichel.

He made his debut in England whilst playing for Hartlepool and helped the club to promotion to League 1 in the 2005/06 season with 25 clean sheets.

He’s also been a Greek U21 international and will hopefully sign for the Reds within the next 24 hours. There can be no denying that Paul Smith, the current Forest incumbent between the sticks needs the competition. His form in recent weeks has been below par and there are rumours he is carrying a knee injury.

Dimi will be a welcome recruit and a long awaited one at that. The cover for the goalkeeping position has been woefully short all season and it’s been more luck than judgement that we haven’t been caught out. Better late than never I suppose. One useless but interesting fact about Dimi, is that his name is worth 30 points at Scrabble. Beat that!
