Nottingham Forest have finally parted company with defender Kelvin Wilson, following confirmation that he signed for Celtic on Friday.

Wilson was first linked with a move to the Glasgow club last summer, when we reportedly turned down a £1m bid for him. Celtic came in with another offer in January that was also turned down. Wilson went on to sign a pre contract agreement with Celtic in January, after failing to agree new terms with the Reds’.

The 25 year old joined Forest from Preston back in 2007, for a fee of £300,000. On his day, he’s one of the most cultured and composed players on the field. Good in the air, strong in the tackle and capable distributing the ball well. When it’s not his day, let’s just say he’s none of the above.

There’s no news of this on the NFFC official site of course, but Celtic have wasted no time in proudly parading their new Bhoy infront of the cameras. Wilson joins Celtic for free.

  • It seems that Billy Davies put his own alegencies to rangers before his responsibility to Forest. Davies an ex-rangers player and still a fan, thought it best to stop Celtic get Wilson, and subsequently cost Forest some much needed funds. Still, Davies did get his wish with Celtic not winning the league, then again, Forest, his employers didn’t gain promotion either, did they?
This typified Davies, a bigot and one who like all in the SFA, place the interests f rangers top of their list. Now, anither season doomed in the Championship, but never mind eh. At least Davies is happy.
