Kelly named as McClaren’s no.2

Rob Kelly has been confirmed as Steve McClaren’s no.2 at Forest.

The former Leicester and Wolves player has previous managerial experience of an 18-month spell at Leicester, and has also been assistant at both Preston and Sheffield Wednesday. He also has a wealth of coaching experience from spells with Wolves, Watford and Blackburn.

Kelly is the latest new coaching appointment under McClaren, who has also brought in Bill Beswick, Paul Barron, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Alessandro Schoenmaker in various roles.
