I’m honestly surprised it’s taken this long for this sort of story to come about.
According to a report from Football Insider, Charlton Athletic are interested in taking John Bostock off Nottingham Forest’s hands for the second half of the season. Bostock signed for the Reds in the summer on a season-long loan from Toulouse, but has found his opportunities rather scarce at the City Ground, starting only one game and making two further appearances off the bench.
When there are so many players at the club all fighting it out for spots, it was never going to be easy for him, but it looks as if Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi clearly has the people that he trusts to play in midfield, and Bostock is not one of them.
So when @CityGroundHQ asked fans on Twitter whether or not the 27-year-old’s time in Nottingham was up, the fans responded quite unanimously, saying that it would be best if the loan deal was cancelled and he found somewhere else to play.
Not playing. Not getting near the squad there's a reason for that. Move him on

Deffo, why did we bring him in ? Never featured, pretty much a description of his career, journeyman that always fails to deliver a consistant performance or fitness levels

Is he likely to feature in our push for the play-offs/promotion? Looking unlikely, so yes. #NFFC

Doesn’t seem to pushing himself towards the first team and way off contention so let him go to open up a fresh opportunity for someone else

Do Nottingham Forest need another central midfielder?
Yes
No
I think that’s pretty convincing in terms of results, don’t you? Let’s just hope that he doesn’t come back to score against us for The Addicks if the deal does go through.
