Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has extended his loan deal with the Reds’ and will now be at the City Ground until January 2.

The former Forest Academy star has only made 4 substitute appearances for Forest since joining from Spurs at the beginning of October on an emergency loan deal.

Although his appearances have been limited, his quality has been evident when on the pitch and he did manage to score in the 4-1 win over Barnsley last weekend.

The main reason for his lack of game time was due to him still recovering from a ruptured achilles injury, sustained whilst on loan at Aston Villa last year.

Jenas told the BBC. ‘It’s what I wanted. I’ve enjoyed it and it’s been great to be back home. The initial month loan was a weird one for everybody involved and a tough one for the manager to deal with because he wanted my qualities on the pitch.’
