Jamie Paterson has become the 2nd brand new Nottingham Forest recruit of the summer, signing a 2 year deal with a possible one year extention.

Having played his entire career to date at Walsall in both right wing & striker positions, Forest won the chase to sign the much courted 21 year old speedster after Walsall accepted an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of between £750,000 & £1,000,000.

He`s made 102 appearances for Walsall in all competitions spread over 3 seasons since making his debut in August 2010 as an 18 year old. Scoring 16 goals with a further 10 assists and picking up just a single booking, with last season being his most successful to date.

Reports on this young man would suggest he`s shown a high level of improvement each season since he made his professional debut & is more than ready to make the step up to Championship football.

He has pace to burn, isn`t afraid of taking on a shot & can beat a full back to put in a cross, in short he has many of the attributes the Forest midfield has been missing recently.

Welcome to Nottingham Forest Jamie, we look forward to seeing you light up our promotion hopes this coming season.
