Nottingham Forest have earned an away trip to the Choirboys of Wycombe, in the 2nd round draw of the Carling Cup.

Forest needed a penalty shoot-out to beat neighbours Notts County on Tuesday night and have been rewarded with an away trip to newly promoted League 1 side Wycombe Wanderers.

Forest and Wycombe have only met once before, ironically in the same competition back in 1996. That game was played over 2 legs. We won the first leg 1-0 at home, thanks to a second half goal from Brian Roy. The second leg went to extra time, after the Choirboys drew level with a first half effort from Paul McCarthy. Cult hero Jason Lee bagged the extra time winner for the Reds’, to earn an away trip to West Ham, where we went out after being defeated 4-1.

All matches are scheduled to be played week commencing August 22.
