It Could Happen – Jack

Jack Lester has not dismissed the possibility of Rotherham going against the odds to produce an upset in the Reds favour.

Lester’s two-goal display against Leyton Orient, coupled with Bristol City’s defeat at Millwall, keeps Forest’s automatic promotion hopes alive on the final day of the season.

And although City go into their home game against Rotherham as red hot favourites to clinch second spot behind Scunthorpe, Lester argued speaking to the official site: ‘You never know what can happen on the last day of the season.’

He added: ‘It is down to one point and although Bristol City have a big advantage, stranger things have happened. At least we have interest going into the last game.

‘I wouldn’t necessarily write off Rotherham at Bristol. Don’t forget they came to The City Ground in what was a massive game for us last month and they left with a 1-1 draw.

‘They have players performing for new contracts and players trying to impress a new manager so they are not just going to go there and lie down.

‘There’s pressure on Bristol but they have earned the right to get themselves in this situation and if they do their job it is irrelevant what we come up with against Crewe. But it will be interesting.’
