Is Marlon Coming Home?

According to todays’ Daily Mirror, Forest are after out of favour Villa striker and former City Ground favourite Marlon Harewood.

If it’s true he would become the 6th loan signing at the club, along with Anderson, Lynch, McSheffrey, Osbourne and Gunter. FA rules state that a maximum of only 5 loanees can be named in a match day squad.

Forest fans would welcome the Hare back with open arms, but it’s a bit of a long shot in terms of him coming back here. Although he’s not getting a look in at Villa, he’ll be on a hefty wage and it will break the bank to get him here. Add to that, the fact that he’s rumoured to have had a fallout with the Chairman Nigel Doughty before signing for West Ham and a deal looks less likely. Still, we’re officially desperate now and anything could happen. Harewood scored over 50 goals for the Reds’ and came through the Academy, making over 180 appearances.
