The impressive form of winger Garath McCleary, has been one of very few positives to take from a dreadful season so far for Nottingham Forest. However, confirmed news of his hamstring injury, will be seen as a major blow for Steve Cotterill and the club.

McCleary is currently the clubs’ top scorer with 9 goals from 19 appearances so far this campaign and is one of few candidates for the Player of the Season award.

Steve Cotteriil told the official site. ‘We don’t quite know how he’s going to be at this moment. We’ve just got to wait and see with that one.’

The 24 year old went off after 82 minutes in 1-1 draw with Brighton last week and was replaced by Ishmael Miller. He missed the mid week game with Leicester and although Cotterill says he has not been ruled out of the trip to Crystal Palace, he has to be a major doubt.
