Hillal Soudani appears to be making great progress in his recovery from injury, recently posting a video on Instagram that showed him doing agility and resistance training with Aissa Bakli and Boussaid Aek at the Mohamed Boumezrag Stadium in Algeria.

The Nottingham Forest forward has been out of action since late-October with a knee injury and had specialist treatment in Qatar to speed up his return. Soudani has kept fans updated on his progress and he’s expected to be back in time for pre-season next month.

The 31-year-old joined Forest from Dinamo Zagreb in July 2018 and went on to score two goals in eight appearances before his injury. He featured in four Championship games in August but spent the next two months out with his first knee injury.

Soudani then returned in mid-October and played two games before he underwent surgery on his knee and was out for the remainder of the season. The Algerian international has a lot to prove at the City Ground after a disappointing debut season, but he has a tough task to move up the pecking order – Lewis Grabban, Daryl Murphy, Karim Ansarifard, Tyler Walker.
