Nottingham Forest are set to retain the services of manager Sabri Lamouchi for another season, a report from The Athletic has claimed.
Lamouchi’s future at The City Ground had come in for some strong scrutiny following his side’s end of season collapse that cost them what had looked like a guaranteed place in the Championship play-off places.
According to the latest reports however, Lamouchi – who took over at Forest last summer – will be given a chance to put things right next season, with the electing not to sack him, as they look to mount another push for promotion to the Premier League next season.
It is thought that Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has chosen to stick with the Frenchman, after his decision not to sack Pedro Martins as Olympiacos manager following their failure not to lift the Greek title in 2019 paid off, with the Greek giants returning to the top of their national league this season.
Not surprisingly, plenty of Forest fans were keen to voice their opinion on the decision to give Lamouchi another season in charge, as they took to Twitter to react to this latest news.
Here, we take look at what some of those supporters had to say about this update.
Definitely deserves another season. Definitely will have learnt from a few tactical errors made. But most importantly definitely needs the freedom to bring in a few better quality signings and ship out several that frankly donβt cut it.

See, i can’t agree with that. He kept making the same mistakes over and over again after the restart. I personally want him gone, but il back him of he stays

Needs to be gone. Football he plays is so negative.

Fine but Sabri needs to earn my trust again. I won’t call for his head but I’m not singing his name should we get back into the stadiums this year.
The club needs to be better in the Transfer market and get the wage structure sorted out because it’s a mess.

Correct decision in my opinion. Unless anything changes in the next few weeks, I’m really happy about thisππΌ

Excellent news. Did more than enough to be given another year. The demise was horrific but he was incredible let down in January, if we had strengthened were the other top teams did we would have extended our season by at least 2 games. Find a way to fit Joao in would also help.

If you look at it over the season we never really smashed teams but proved hard to beat and kept going until the end. After lockdown we gave away so many late goals mainly because of searching for the 1 point at all costs

He should be sacked he won’t change his football style n tactics are boring and too negative his tactics against Barnsley n Stoke deserve him to be sacked plus playing 3defensive midfielders at home we need to sign proven championship players sell Worrall& carvalio to raise funds

Had a week to reflect – with such a short pre season it makes sense to keep sabri. However we need to create more chances and not rely on Lolley most of the time. The squad doesn’t cope with 2 games a week so more trust in squad players or else we will burn out the starting 11

Stuck to the ‘build from the back’ ideology – it works but you need the tactics & players for Plan B. Instead we played key games by parking 3 buses and we got found out. But best season for ages so hope he gets a chance to show he can learn new tricks. I hear stability is nice
