Hoskins Taunts Forest

Striker Will Hoskins said his goal was part repayment to Rotherham for giving him his chance in football – and to Forest for not picking him up as a youngster.

He said he was grateful to the Millers for kick-starting his career. ”It was good to get the goal, because I obviously played football as a kid in Nottingham and Forest never picked me up,” he said.

”I owe a debt of thanks to Rotherham for giving me my chance. I want to pay them back for that.”

It was the 20-year-old’s 12th goal of the season and is only likely to add to the number of scouts from bigger clubs who are regular visitors to Millmoor.

”I am not fussed whether anyone comes in for me in January, I play for Rotherham. It is good to be talked about, because I am talked about for scoring goals which is what I want to keep doing. It is my job,” said Hoskins.

”I am not going to worry about whether another team comes in for me or not. I just struck the ball, as a striker is supposed to, and the ball went in.”
