Will Hoskins signed for Forest on loan until the end of the season last week and hopes to resurrect his career after finding himself in the wilderness at Watford.

Although he failed to establish himself at Watford, he is a proven scorer at this level and was a target of ours before leaving Rotherham. He came off in the 69th minute of his debut for the Reds on Saturday with cramp and although he didn’t find the net, he did have a decent game and showed glimpses of what he can do.

Today he told the Nottingham Evening Post. ‘I want to do it for myself and I am a lad that just wants to play football because I know the player I can be. I have been up, down, up, down and want to be on that level where I am going up, up, up. People look at me and said, ‘He has not done it at Watford’ but I was never given the chance.’

He went on to say that he wants to play at the highest level and hopes to do that with Forest, as Watford have made it clear they do not see a future for him with them. The deal for Hoskins could see him join us permanently for £500,000 in the summer.
