Will Hoskins has been forced to return to Watford over his back problem and his Nottingham Forest future looks in doubt.

According to Watford, Will is almost ready to resume light training again, but it could be weeks before he is ready to play again.

Forest manager Colin Calderwood told The Nottingham Evening Post. “Will is back at Watford, he will remain there for the next three or four days or so. He is close to being back on the grass, in terms of training. But we have got him to that stage before ourselves and he has had a set-back. Something needs to happen quickly, because he has not trained properly for 30 days now. Even if he does get back into training without any problems, it will take a while before he is fully match fit. So unless he does get back soon, time will quickly start to run out for him, in terms of being ready before the end of the season. The situation does not look too bright.”

It sounds as though there’s a difference of opinion between what Watford and Forest think to the players fitness and chances of playing again this season. I think most Forest fans would like to see Hoskins as a regular, but CC doesn’t sound as though he thinks he’ll play much of a part this season. Does this put the mockers on any deal for the player?
