While much of the attention has been rightly placed on incomings this summer, there have been a few outgoings too, such as Jason Cummings’ loan move to Peterborough United. Aitor Karanka has outlined the importance of the move for the 22-year-old’s development.
As Nottinghamshire Live reports, Aitor Karanka has suggested that Cummings needs to impress with the Posh to demonstrate his worth to the team.
On paper, it seemed that his arrival was a tremendous addition. The striker scored a marvellous total of 71 goals in 150 games for Hibernian. However, he failed to find the back of the net with the same regularity last season. He scored ten goals in 35 appearances for Rangers and us, six of which was scored during his loan spell with the former.
It will be incredibly interesting to observe whether Cummings will be able to flourish in League One and whether he can force his way back into Aitor Karanka’s plans.
Here’s how Forest fans have reacted to his departure on Twitter.
Hope he does well never really got a decent chance to adapt and play.
