Head To Head: Wolves v Nottingham Forest

You have to go all the way back to Boxing Day 1980 to find the last time the Reds’ beat Wolves on their own turf. Forest ran out 4-1 victors that day, but it’s traditionally been a tough place for us to pick up points over the years.

The last time the two teams met in the league was during the 2008/9 campaign. Wolves did the double over us that season, beating us 1-0 at the City Ground and 5-1 at Molineux.

There have been a total of 114 league games played between us, with Wolves comfortably claiming the bragging rights. Forest have won 37, drawn 24 and lost 53 of their previous encounters.

The form book suggests the Reds’ will be going into this game high in confidence, following their 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday last week. Forest sit in 10th place in the Championship table on 26 points, just 2 points from a Play Off spot. Wolves on the other hand, only have 1 win in their last 8 games and sit in 16th place on 22 points. They go into this game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Watford last weekend.

My prediction for this game is a 1-1 draw.
