Nottingham Forest travel to Blackburn on New Year’s day, in search of their first victory at Ewood Park since 1999 and their first win under new manager Alex McLeish.

Like Forest, Rovers relieved their manager from his duties last week, but unlike the Reds’, they are yet to install a new boss. The Lancashire club however, have gone on record saying they hope to have a new man in charge before this game.

As mentioned above, Forest haven’t won on Rovers turf since 1999, when goals from Dougie Freedman and Chris Bart-Williams secured the points in a 2-1 win.

There have been a total of 97 meetings in the league between the two clubs and Forest have won 29, lost 43 and drawn 25. In the game at the City Ground back in October, the sides battled it out for a 0-0 draw.
