According to Greek outlet sport24 – via the Nottingham Post – the Reds are potentially going to see Apostolos Vellios leave the club.
We’ve got a number of forwards right now and none of them look particularly confident.
You only have to look at our run of games without a goal to realise that and I think Vellios looks the most unlikely of all of them.
With that said, then, it would be wise to shake things up in the summer and it appears the Greek striker might be off as part of that.
Let’s take a look at some of the reaction to the news on Twitter:

Seeing vellios could be on his way out could mean forest interest in bringing in a couple of new forwards to replace him #NFFC

Colback. Vellios. Vaughan. Bridcutt. Tomlin. Henderson. Fuentes. Djeggah. Kapino. Evtimov. Traore. Lam. Ward. Cohen. Bouch. Clough. Hobbs. Murphy and maybe Cummings. All should leave #nffc IMO.

He needs to move on. Most of our strikers do

For me we need murphy and vellios out… brereton could do with a loan, 3 forwards in.. and 2 wingers, can see mckay going.. think he looks homesick.. or if warbs gets the ipswich job he may sign him.. gonna be a major overhaul in the summer tho

The Verdict
I’ve never been the biggest fan of Vellios and so I can’t say that I’d particularly miss him if he left in the nicest possible way.
I think we need a big overhaul of our forward options in the summer and after the chances Vellios has had and not taken, I think his exit will be part of that.
Now let’s hope we get someone more reliable in!
