Hillal Soudani looks on his way out of Nottingham Forest this summer after all but agreeing a move to Olympiacos, reports Sport 24 (h/t HITC). The 31-year-old was recently pictured in Greece and spoke out about the impending transfer, saying: “I am very happy to be here in Greece and I think it will be a beautiful experience.”

Soudani endured a nightmarish time at Forest, having made just eight appearances in all competitions before a serious knee injury cut his debut season short in October. Big things were expected of the Algerian international after he arrived at the City Ground off the back of contributing 140 goals in 196 games for GNK Dinamo Zagreb, but he didn’t make much of an impact.

Soudani is recovering from injury and should be ready to hit pre-season head on. Olympiacos’ first friendly this summer is against Viitorul on June 18 which will come too soon for the Forest frontman, but Soudani could make his club debut against Pogon Szczecin on June 28.

The striker could hit the ground running at the Karaiskakis Stadium given his impressive track record with former clubs – ASL Chlef (58 games, 31 goals, 5 assists), Vitoria Guimaraes (44 games, 16 goals), Dinamo Zagreb (196 games, 86 goals, 54 assists). Forest fans will rue his injury ending his career at the City Ground.
