The latest name being linked with the Reds’, is Reading’s hotshot midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Sky Sports News says that Forest, as well as West Brom, Bolton and Wolves are interested in the Icelandic international. He’s scored 16 goals for the Royals this season and looks to be on his way out of the club in the summer, following a disappointing season in the Championship for the former Premiership club.

Reading assistant manager Nigel Gibbs is determined to keep him, saying. ‘Gylfi has been fantastic and we obviously want to hold on to him. We don’t want to lose any of our players, but unfortunately in this day and age if the right price comes in then these things can happen.’

Sigurdsson is priced at around the £2.5m and worth it, but for Forest to have any chance of winning his signature, we’d have to be playing in the Premiership to beat off the stiff competition for his services.
