Fulham midfielder Jonathan Greening has today officially signed for Nottingham Forest.

According to the NFFC official site, the 32 year old has signed a three year deal, for an undisclosed fee. Greening becomes the second summer signing for Steve McClaren and follows Andy Reid, who rejoined the club a fortnight ago on a free transfer from Blackpool.

McClaren worked with Greening when the pair were at Manchester United and took the player with him, when he became manager of Middlesbrough in 2001, for a fee of £3m.

Greening went on to play for West Brom for almost 6 years and became an integral part of the squad at the Hawthorns, as well as club captain.

The midfielder can play anywhere across the middle of the park and has been deployed as both an attacking midfielder and a holding midfielder during his spells at Boro and WBA. He will be a more than adequate replacement for the recently departed Paul McKenna, who left the club for Championship rivals Hull City earlier this summer. Welcome to the City Ground Jonathan Greening.
