This weekend marks a rather significant occasion at Nottingham Forest, and the club intends to mark it the right way. This weekend marks the 15th anniversary of the passing of Nottingham Forest’s greatest ever manager, Brian Clough.
In a statement on the club website, Forest have urged fans to take part in the tribute that they plan for Saturday’s game:
“On the 15th minute of Saturday’s game against Barnsley, there will be an image of Brian Clough on the big screens and the club are encouraging supporters to hold a minutes’ applause. Supporters are also encouraged to pay their own tributes, by wearing their own Clough memorabilia such as his iconic green jumper, Clough t-shirts, scarves and bringing their flags.”
It looks as if Forest fans were far too eager to wait for Saturday before paying tributes to the great man, as they used the reminder by the club to share some of their favourite memories of Clough.

There will never be one like BC now or ever .Such characters with the know how on how to get the best out of players and be respected goes along way .Bill Shankly also was a great ambassador in his era ,sadly todays manager's are a different class
Not forthright like BC/BS.— Mr B (@MrGTB2) September 18, 2019

Which by the way, I think we need to celebrate Clough’s achievements a lot more often. When you consider all that he did for the club, it almost seems like we should do things on a monthly or even weekly basis.
