Nottingham Forest new-boy John Bostock made his league debut against Charlton Athletic on August 21 and came away with plaudits from some supporters on social media after the 1-1 draw.
The 27-year-old joined on a season-long loan from Toulouse earlier in August and made his debut in the EFL Cup days later against Fleetwood Town. His first Championship outing for Forest came more than a week later and has been successful when looking at the comments from fans.
Great performance from you John when you came on.

John Bostock was really good for me last night. No coincidence that we started to dictate the tempo of the game when he came on. Them last 15 minutes we completely controlled. #nffc

Bostock was introduced from the bench in the 63rd minute at the Valley. As per WhoScored, he made 35 touches, won three aerial duels, completed 82.8% of his 29 passes, had one shot, drew one foul and completed 50% of his long passes. He’s now made two appearances in Forest colours and appears to be finding his feet.
The uncapped Trinidad & Tobago midfielder has stiff competition for places – Alfa Semedo, Samba Sow, Ben Watson, Tiago Silva, Ryan Yates – so he’ll have to work hard to get opportunities under Sabri Lamouchi.
Bostock impressed in a 27-minute appearance against Charlton and will hope for a bigger part to play against Fulham on August 24. The Reds are currently 13th in the Championship with five points from four games, boasting a three-match unbeaten run.
