Northampton manager, Stuart Gray understands that his side need to find the scoring touch ahead of the game against Forest.

‘We dominated the game but did not convert our chances,’ he said after the 1-0 defeat by Port Vale on Tuesday.

‘We have to make it pay when we are on top.
‘We said at half time that we must not get caught by a sucker punch but they scored with a freak goal.

‘I could not fault the effort or commitment but the disappointing thing is we are not punishing teams when we are on top in games.’

  • northampton’s form as picked up since gray arrived you could certainly do without this test at the moment.

  • Three defeats in their last three games does not seem like good form to me. Then again, we are in ***** form as well.
