The Sun journalist Phil Cadden reported yesterday that we are interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Andy King on loan.
We have up until August 31st to complete any temporary moves, but it is believed that Swansea City and Stoke City are also after the player. Cardiff were also in the mix, but with the transfer window closing for Premier League sides yesterday, the Bluebirds are no longer in contention.
I asked supporters whether a move for the Welshman would be a good idea, and a majority think he’d be a good signing for Aitor Karanka:
With Adlene Guedioura starting the season superbly, and the likes of Ben Watson, Jack Colback and Liam Bridcutt all available to play in the middle of the park, a move for King would probably be one too many.
Still, we said the same about centre-halves before we signed Michael Hefele from Huddersfield Town yesterday.
