We’ve been linked with a whole host of players throughout the summer transfer window, and while rumours come and go, speculation linking us with a move for Lee Tomlin continues to circulate.

According to Nottinghamshire Live, Nottingham Forest are interested in the services of Cardiff City’s Lee Tomlin. The report states that Forest are exceedingly keen for Lee Tomlin to join the club for the second time, however, a permanent deal looks highly unlikely.

While it’s believed that the 29-year-old isn’t included in the Bluebirds’ plans, the versatile midfielder is on a higher wage due to Cardiff’s promotion to the Premier League. Accordingly, a permanent transfer for Tomlin does seem improbable, but a loan deal is still likely.

Here’s how Forest fans have reacted to the rumours on Twitter.

Verdict:

Tomlin is revered for his versatility and on-field adaptability, both of which could be incredibly beneficial for us this season. He displayed last season his capacity to contribute purposefully to the cause, contributing towards seven goals in 15 appearances is a decent total. His knowledge and intelligence could prove to be essential attributes for us.
