Nottingham Forest first team coach Sean O’Driscoll, parted company with the Reds’ today, to take up the vacant managerial role at newly promoted League 1 side Crawley Town.

O’Driscoll only spent three months at the City Ground, but was in no small way responsible for us maintaining our Championship status this season.

Forest Chairman Frank Clark, told the official site. ‘We would like to place on record our thanks to Sean for the contribution he made at The City Ground. He joined us in a short-term agreement with the understanding that he would leave if an opportunity to return to management presented itself for him.’

It’s shaping up to be a bleak summer ahead for Forest fans, with more departures expected over the coming weeks. There’s already keen interest being shown in Chris Gunter, with West Brom, Norwich and Wigan battling it out for his signature. Another player rumoured to be heading for the exit door, is defender Luke Chambers, who is expected to sign for Leicester City.
