‘Get Tough’ Call From Calderwood

The last time Forest won an away game, was back in December against Brighton in the 2-0 win at the Withdean. That’s five games since we have taken more than a point on our travels. Calderwood is hoping that’s all set to change, as the Reds visit the New Den tonight to take on Millwall.

The away form is becoming a concern, but Calderwood thinks he can get better results with a tougher attitude from the squad. He told the official site.

‘We’ve got to be harder and tougher on ourselves and on what we expect from games…We’re better than we’ve showed in terms of our points return, but we have to be more effective in terms of what we do.’

Hardly a great speech in terms of readying the troops for battle, but he has a point. Forest have been hustled out of games all too often and can plead guilty to being second to every ball. That was definitely the case on Saturday at Swindon. If they can get a bit more street wise to what League 1 is all about, then maybe we have a chance at getting out of this Godawful division. The New Den is as good a place as any to start.
