Could be time to start getting nervous again Forest fans.
Greek outlet Sport24 are reporting that Olympiacos have set their eyes once again on Forest midfielder Joao Carvalho. The rumours had gone down for some time, however with midfielder Kostas Fortunis suffering an ACL injury in their recent pre-season game. Greek journalist Konstantinos Lianos is reporting that it could just be a loan deal, however having been linked for so long and being such a high profile signing they could make a bid for a permanent deal.
After his performances last season, chipping in four goals and eight assists, this would clearly be a devastating blow for Forest, however due to both clubs being owned by the same man, Evangelos Marinakis he can make the whole process a lot more streamlined and that should worry Forest fans.
However, worried isn’t exactly the phrase I’d use to describe those who took to Twitter when they heard the news. I’d say anger was more the emotion of the day. After all the good work that has been done over the summer, with fans taking an instant liking to the new boss and the new signings as well, it appears as letting such a prized possession like Carvalho go could send their emotions in a complete 180.
Why would EM want to heavily jepordise any chance we would have of getting in the prem!? #nffc

They can go away! I’d be furious. Why build this team, then take away one of our best players?

All the goodwill that Marinakis has gained would soon disappear if this was allowed to happen

They should be looking at midfield Talisman, Benito Watsonio. He’s the creative influence they need
