After being a little bit slow on the uptake, the signings at Nottingham Forest are starting to pick up a little bit of speed.
The signing of Tiago Silva on Friday has been followed up with the double signing of Alfa Semedo and Yuri Ribeiro from Portuguese side Benfica.
Alfa Semedo is a defensive midfielder and should slot nicely into the team in front of the back four, either by himself or with a partner, depending on which of his previous formations Sabri Lamouchi decides to use at the City Ground.
Whilst Yuri Ribeiro is much more straight forward, he will likely fight it out for a left-back spot with last year’s starter Jack Robinson.
Despite only being in charge at the club for a little over a week, Lamouchi seems to have managed to get a lot of the Forest fans on his side, and if he keeps producing signings like this then there’s no reason why the love-in can’t continue.
That’s why these Forest fans took to Twitter to show their joy over the news, with one fan taking the opportunity to take a shot at previous boss Martin O’Neill and comparing the quality of his targets to that of Lamouchi’s.
