The transfer window is always an exciting period, players coming and going is the subject of much fanfare and trepidation. And, the new club of the former Forest defender, Jack Hobbs, has been confirmed.

Jack Hobbs has joined Bolton Wanderers on a one-year deal following the expiration of his contract with the club. The 29-year-old only attained four appearances for us throughout the entirety of last season. In fact, he only amassed 85 appearances over the course of five seasons with the club.

With that in mind, it’s evident why the club didn’t reward the experienced defender with a contract extension. In light of our summer signings, we have sufficient defensive options, and the presence of Hobbs would have been utterly obsolete this season.

While we thank him for his contributions, a decision not to prolong his Forest career was unequivocally correct, and we wish him the best of luck in the next phase of his career with Bolton.
