Nottingham Forest’s FA Cup second round match with Luton scheduled originally for this coming Saturday has been postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday 11th December.

Both sides came through first round replays this week, Forest beating Lincoln 3-1, but as this fixture was only confirmed on Tuesday night Police have been unable to arrange adequate cover for the match so it will be played at a latter date.

There is something special about playing an FA Cup tie on a Saturday, so it is a shame that this will not be able to take place now, but safety measures come first.

  • blimey are they expecting a massive punch up then?????…I’m sure a lot opf bobbies would have said yes to the overtime……

  • Having met with Millwall’s chairman today, your match was moved because of Luton’s financial problems.

  • Win and you play us (Liverpool). Good luck against Luton. I’d rather play you than them. It’ll be just like the days when you were amongst the big boys.

  • I guess the Police were wary of a second clash between the two sets of fans this season! As for th edosh, I’d imagine Luton would have welcomed it!
