The squad reorganisation, ahead of a promotion challenge next season, continues.

Having acquired the services of Michael Dawson, thereby adding to the squad, it now appears that the squad numbers will, once again, be reduced by the departure of Barrie McKay.

Twenty-three-year-old McKay, who made 26 appearances for Forest in the Championship last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists, looks set to spend some of his career time in Greece.

The news source, Sport Witness, are reporting that the Greek side Olympiacos are looking to bring in McKay as a replacement for Kevin Mirallas who has returned to Everton after the completion of his loan spell.

However, confusion reigns as to whether the proposed deal will be a permanent one of simply a loan deal, hopefully, that’ll be cleared up when the official announcement of the deal is forthcoming.

For McKay it represents an ideal opportunity to sample life in a different country and, if the deal goes ahead, we wish him well.

Obviously, Aitor Karanka is willing to do without McKay as he seeks to build a promotion winning squad, it’ll be interesting to see who is lined-up to come in and replace the flying winger.

Has anyone got any ideas?
