Tickets for the game against the Sheep at the City Ground on Wednesday night, sold out almost a fortnight ago and police have warned fans without tickets not to attend the game.

This local derby has become a very feisty fixture in recent years, with ‘Lilly’ Savage’s scarf waving antics, Tysongate and of course, the alleged Kneegate incident involving Nigel Clough, all adding to the mix to ensure it’s become one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures of the season.

Mass brawls (or handbags at 10 paces) involving both sets of players and coaching staff broke out in both the fixtures last season, which resulted in both clubs being fined and warned about their future conduct.

This game promises to be as keenly contested as any in recent times, but their will be no place in the Sheep’s flock for Pantomime villain ‘Lilly’ Savage, who will be serving a one match ban.
