According to the Nottingham Evening Post, the Reds’ are set to make their second bid for a Derby player, this time for defender Lewin Nyatanga.

Forest have already had a bid for striker Robert Earnshaw accepted by the Rams and they now want the 19 year old left sided defender, according to the paper.

Nyatanga spent most of last season on loan at Championship side Barnsley and made over 50 appearances for them. Rams boss and porn star Paul Jewell this week put his entire squad up for sale after finishing the Premiership campaign as the worst side in it’s entire history (you can’t say that often enough in my book).

As for the Earnshaw deal, it seems there is still work to be done in the negotiating department. Sheffield United and Cardiff are also said to be interested, but it does seem Forest are favourites to get his signature. If and when he signs, it’s thought that Kris Commons will be heading in the opposite direction. If that’s the case, then Commons can expect some harsh words from Reds’ fans if he should do the unthinkable and move to our fiercest rivals.
