Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood will be taking a 20 man squad to Germany for a seven day training camp, as the pre season preparations step up a gear.

Calderwood told the official site. ‘We’ve done the core of our preseason season work since reporting back on July 1 – now it’s time to work on specifics before we get back to playing matches.’

The lads will be put through their paces with twice daily training sessions at a sports complex near Cologne and will play their first friendly of the pre season against local side Offenbach Kickers on Friday.

Offenbach will be playing in the 3rd tier of German football next season, after being relegated last time. KO is scheduled for 7.30pm local time.
