Forest Seal Kane Signing

Forest have used the ‘Sky Bet Transfer Fund’ money to bring in Chelsea full back Todd Kane on loan until the end of the season.

The £250,000 that Shaun Lander won in the Sky Bet transfer fund scheme recently was money, even though we’re under out FFP transfer embargo; that we knew we could use toward player wages but couldn’t use to ‘pay’ for a player due to this transfer ban.

We’ve, it appears, spent this money wisely by bringing in England U21 international Kane, as had been strongly reported on Wednesday….

I’m not sure if Kane would have played for England under Pearce previously but he’s certainly played against us as he featured against us during a loan spell with Blackburn last season and has already had a spell under former Forest manager Steve Cotterill at Bristol City during the current campaign.
