We’ve been utterly relentless in the transfer market, and we have signed several players that will significantly enhance the quality of our team. With that in mind, it’s conceivable to suggest that we can expect more outgoings than incomings over the course of the next few days. One player that looks poised to leave the City Ground is Zac Clough.

Despite signing Zac Clough for £3M from Bolton 16 months ago, the 23-year-old looks destined to depart this window. Clough is one of several first-team players whose club profiles have disappeared from Forest’s official website, suggesting that they won’t be involved this season.

Clough is clearly a talented player, but he’s failed to fulfil expectations during his time with the club. His arrival from Bolton evoked infectious excitement, but Clough has struggled to establish himself as a mainstay in the squad. A move away would be the best solution for all involved.
