Its being ‘reported’ that Forest have tabled a £1.5m offer for Peter Whittingham.

I think, not that I am sure, The Nottingham Post had something on this but it is The Guardian that is today ‘claiming’ a £1.5m written offer has been submitted to Cardiff for their prolific midfielder/attacker.

The 25-year-old former Aston Villa man was the joint top goalscorer in the championship last season after netting 20 goals, although he only has 12-months left on his contract so the Welsh club risk losing him for nothing if he does not commit to a new deal or is sold.

‘Rumours’ have linked Whittingham with several clubs this summer but if these latest ones are true it would seem that Forest are the first club to actually submit and offer for him.

I would image that there would not be many Forest fans that would be unhappy to see Peter Whittingham arrive at The City Ground, right?

One Reply to “Forest Offer £1.5m For Whittingham?”

  • After losing Ledley on a free Cardiff can’t let Whittingham go for nothing next year. £1.5m would be an absolute bargain.
