Although Jorge Grant signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, back in June 2017, there are doubts as to whether the midfielder does indeed have a long-term future at the City Ground.

For much of the last eighteen months, Grant has been on loan at our rivals Notts County, with the player spending the second half of the 2016 / 2017 season there and also the whole of the 2017 / 2018 season at Meadow Lane.

Returning to the City Ground at the completion of the 2017 / 2018 season, we pondered over whether Grant would be given the opportunity, in the coming season, to add to the 19 appearances he has made for Nottingham Forest since joining the academy.

Well, if that is going to be the case, that number of appearances isn’t going to be added to next season with the
BBC, confirming that Grant has packed his suitcase and gone off on another season-long loan spell, this time with the League One side Luton Town.

At 23-years-of-age, perhaps the question has to be asked as to whether Grant has missed the boat as far as a long-term career with Nottingham Forest goes.

Here at Vital Forest, we’d be interested to hear your views on the subject matter.
