Nottingham Forest fans haven’t seen an awful lot of recent capture Karim Ansarifard following his arrival from Olympiakos as a free agent.

The 28-year-old made the switch to the City Ground after his previous contract was mutually terminated in August, and fans have only seen him in four brief substitute appearances as he continues to adjust to his new surroundings and the differences when it comes to the Championship level and the English game.

The Iranian international certainly seems to be the bubbly sort though and he’s saying all the right things whenever he finds himself in front of the press, and that was no different in a recent set of quotes carried by the Nottingham Post.

With two of his appearances coming on home soil, he was quick to praise the ‘passionate’ support he’s already received and experienced from the fanbase and in keeping one eye on saying the right things about our potential promotion charge, he made it pretty clear that he’d be doing all he could to make himself a fan favourite.

“The fans are happy with how we are playing and they want to get behind us and see us promoted. They are going to help us and we need them to support us, whether we are 1-0 up or 1-0 down. We need the support from them and believe me, all players will give 100 percent to make them happy and achieve our goals.”

If he can match what seems to be his attitude off the pitch, with success on the pitch when he gets a chance given the form of Lewis Grabban, he could prove to be a very interesting piece of business by the club.
