Nottingham Forest’s promotion hopes suffered a small dent in Saturday’s clash against Preston North End.

Welcoming them to the City Ground, the visitors took advantage in the second half of the game as Louis Moult hit what became the winner in a 1-0 victory for Preston and the disappointment was palpable for a few reasons.

We had chances to draw level and take the win and it was an off day when you consider we’d scored nine in the previous three matches and the defeat does see our five-game unbeaten run come to an end, and we did dominate the match really.

One positive again was the individual performance of Joe Lolley as Whoscored gave him a match rating of 7.07 for his efforts.

He was the only player to get above seven for the game, with Tendayi Darikwa, Matty Cash, Ben Osborn and Claudio Yacob following for the top five.

The day was probably epitomised by Lewis Grabban failing to even register a shot on the day, but what matters now is how we bounce back and that has to now be the only focus.
