Despite the plethora of signings that we’ve completed in the summer transfer window, it seems that are recruitment is poised to continue over the course of the coming days. The free agent, Luke Steele, is the latest name to be linked with a move to the club.

According to the Nottingham Post, we’ve held discussions with Luke Steele over a possible move to the club as we look to ensure that we have a “quality back-up” option to Costel Pantilimon.

The report states that the club are working on deals to discard Stephen Henderson and Dimi Evtimov, while it’s believed that the club are willing to allow Stefanos Kapino to depart, too.

Verdict:

While such a reshuffle could be deemed unnecessary to accommodate a new backup goalkeeper, it’s vital that Karanka has the players that he wants at his disposal. A manager needs full faith in his players. Thus, it’s critical that the club back him in this endeavour – as they have done all summer!
