Swansea City today admitted they were close to signing Blackpool striker Keigan Parker when the transfer window opens next month. But reports in the Blackpool Gazette say Forest are interested in the frontman as well.

Parker was the clubs second top goalscorer last season and helped fire them to the Championship with his 16 goals and got the second goal for the club in their playoff victory at Wembley over Yeovil. That was the last goal he scored for Blackpool though, so is the Championship a step too far for the 25 year old? Forest say a new striker in January is top of their list of priorities, especially as we are set to lose Agogo due to his involvement in the ACON.

It’s thought that he’d be available for around £200,000, which isn’t bad for a player proven at this level. He’s missed the last two games for the Seasiders, leading people to say a deal has already been done. If what the paper says is true, then it looks like a straight choice between us and the Swans. Is he the answer to our striker problem? You decide. Have your say on the forum today.
