Nottingham Forest have made the unusual announcement that they are to make a bid for Luton player Dave Edwards.

Luton have just gone into administration and as such are strapped for cash. They have announced that they will listen to reasonable offers for any of their players. Edwards is 21 and signed from Shrewsbury in the summer. He’s also played for the Welsh U21’s.

Mark Arthur told the Nottingham Evening Post. ‘Luton Town have circulated the names of several players to state they might be available and we have contacted the club’s administrators to enquire about David Edwards.’ The report also states that the Reds will offer £200,000 for his services.

Fair play to insidenffc as well, for breaking the news on the forum last night. He also said we were interested in Mark Bunn, the Northampton keeper and Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp. Three out of three would be too much to hope for wouldn’t it?
