Nottingham Forest’s busy deadline day could yet see Aston Villa’s Ross McCormack secured on loan.

Sky Sports is reporting a deal – which previously looked unlikely owing to his ‘significant wages’ proving a problem – is back on with talks resuming over a potential loan move to the City Ground.

McCormack was made available at the right offer earlier in the month having struggled for form and regular involvement at Villa Park since his switch from Fulham last summer. He’s also fallen out with Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce.

Forest’s improved offer has seen Sky sources claim a ‘fresh offer’ has seen an increased loan fee offered which has led to negotiations re-starting that could bring the prolific Championship striker to the City Ground before the 11pm deadline after all?
