Robson has been courted by Burnley and Celtic, as well as the Reds during this transfer window and looks set to be leaving the Terrors one way or another.

Forest had what was described as a derisory offer rejected out of hand by Dundee chairman Eddie Thompson last week, but he told the BBC yesterday. ‘We have a seven-figure bid in for Barry from Nottingham Forest. The manager Craig Levein and I both have copies of the offer and will get together in the morning to go through it. We both want Barry to stay. We will do everything in our power to keep him, but sometimes these things are taken out of your hands.’

It’s said by various sources that the offer from Forest is in excess of £1M, which is a considerable improvement on the £300,000 reportedly bid last week. It now depends on whether Celtic come back with a better offer for the 29 year old midfielder.
