Aitor Karanka has recently said that he’ll give Jack Hobbs a chance to prove himself but I`m not sure whether it`s really worth it.
I like Jack, don`t get me wrong, and I know a lot of others do but his injury record is woeful and I can`t see it ever getting better now.
Aitor has said that he wants the centre-half to prove his long term fitness before getting a new contract and returning to the side and I just think it`s a stretch for the defender to do just that.
Indeed, even if he did show he was fit and we offered him a new deal, there`s no way of knowing he won`t break down again.
On form he`s a player I`d like to see more of in our side but I don`t think he`ll get to that point often enough again and so, for me, it`s time to let him go.

Totally agree. About time we made some hard decisions correctly. All very good players – just not fit enough to earn new contracts. Would defo keep Cohen on the coaching staff though.

Agreed and Cohen defo deserves a role in the club, but if Dawson is maybe coming in at end of season and fox and Tobias doing so well, do we need anymore defenders! Bring in some fire power

I like that AK has said Hobbs will get a chance. Everyone else had theirs. If he proves himself, give him 12 months, if not, off he goes. Simple really. #NFFC

I’m afraid that would most likely be a waste of 12 months wages. The guy has had so many injury problems, they’re not suddenly going to go away now. Best if both parties move on. Sad though, he’s a great defender when fit.
